All praise, glory, and honor “to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.” (Eph.3:20)

Lord Jesus, we praise you for being our reigning King, loving Savior, and soon returning Bridegroom. Since nothing is impossible with you, we can trust you with every promise Abba has made, the heaviest burdens that we carry, and the intense longings you’ve written into our DNA. Though you can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, we’ll joyfully will settle for three things we can imagine, Jesus.

First: Since the world will know we are your disciples by the way we love (Jn.13:34-35), bring us into a fresh season of loving you, loving as you love us, loving holiness, and loving what you love. Jesus, bring us back to our first love for you. Give us a fresh passion to honor you with our heart, body, and soul—in our relationships, through our investments, and with the remaining days you have appointed for us.

Second: Jesus, would you gift our country with a new Great Awakening—a Gospel Awakening—a genuine Holy Spirit revival? Humble us, Lord Jesus. As a nation, we’ve been arrogant, presumptive, and mean. It’s not about us being “great again”; it’s about you being great in our midst. Don’t make us great, Jesus; make us grateful, grace-full, and godly.

Third: Jesus, I’ll cram this final request with several “asks.” Would you reignite our passion for taking the Gospel to the nations? Would you out-grow our ingrown churches? Would you make us good neighbors, mercy givers, justice lovers, and grace fountains? Because you have triumphed over the devil and death; because you are making all things new; because you will return to wipe our tears and fill the earth with your glory—we can imagine all these things Jesus. Hallelujah, thank you, and So Very Amen.
