I saw a throne in heaven and someone sitting on it. Rev. 4:2; For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Phil. 2:13; “I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good.” Jer. 29:11
Heavenly Father, life keeps reminding us how little control we have over many things—circumstances we didn’t choose, people we do love, outcomes we can’t predict. But all is well, Father, very well. Just continue to…
- Make Jesus’ empty tomb, occupied throne, and blessed return heart-freeing realities.
- Help us value the riches of the Gospel and our “in-Christ-ness” more than what you label “wood, hay, and stubble.”
- Turn up the volume of the Spirit’s voice declaring our Sonship, “Bride-ship,” and Heirship.
- Mute the devil’s lies, Gospel-less diatribes, and our fear-filled monologues.
You’ve given Jesus to us, and for our perfect and full salvation. Certainly, you will graciously provide everything else essential to your plan for our lives, and the entire cosmos (Rom. 8:31-32).
You promise us sufficient grace, not the satisfaction of our agendas. You promise us Christlikeness—not a hammock and a cool breeze on demand. You promise us full redemption, not immediate relief.
Father, we want what you’ve promised. Help us “un-need” what we don’t really need. So very Amen we pray, in Jesus’ kind and powerful name.
