In the span of a single generation, Western cultures have experienced a moral revolution–and this moral revolution presents the Christian church with its greatest challenge in the modern age. A moral revolution is not merely a transformation of morals. It is a reversal of an entire moral understanding. The most obvious arena of this moral revolution is sexual morality and, specifically, the normalization of homosexuality and the legalization of same-sex marriage. Christians now face the daunting challenge of believing faithfully, living faithfully, and engaging the culture faithfully in in light of this massive challenge. In Aftermath: Life, Love, and Liberty in the Wake of the Moral Revolution (forthcoming, Sept 2015) Albert Mohler addresses this challenge, tracing its development, understanding its scale and scope, and proposing a mode of faithful Christianity in the wake of this tidal shift in morality.
