A NOTE FROM MELISSA & COURTNEY

Last month, we had the joy of joining thousands of believers at TGC25 to study the book of Ephesians and reflect on what it means to be “Alive Together” in Christ. It was a wonderful time of excellent teaching, heartfelt worship, and shared meals with believers from around the world.

Over the years, I (Melissa) have attended many retreats and conferences (we Christians are good at gatherings!), and while they’re always encouraging, they can start to blur together, making it difficult to remember the passages we studied or the truths we learned. But there’s one church conference I don’t think I’ll ever forget.

That weekend, we walked through Romans chapter 8. It opens with the powerful declaration of our salvation: “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 8:1). And it closes with the unshakable assurance of God’s love: “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come. . .will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 8:38, 39).

And in between? It’s packed with truth upon truth—so many of my favorite verses, all in one chapter. If you haven’t read Romans 8 in a while, take a moment and read it for yourself!

This passage is why I’m especially excited about this week’s podcast episode with Trillia Newbell. We take a deep look at Romans 8—how it fits into the broader context of the letter, what it really means to live without condemnation, and how these truths give us daily hope and encouragement. We even tackle the tough question: “If there’s no condemnation for me, why am I still suffering?”

We hope you’ll grab your Bible and listen along. You don’t want to miss this one!

PRAY FOR THE CHURCH AROUND THE WORLD
Global Dish Image

Pray with us for the work of Gospel Partners, a ministry that supports local churches throughout southeast Europe. First, pray that the Croatian translation of The Garden, the Curtain and the Cross would find its way to many families and that its message would capture the hearts of children and parents alike. Second, pray that the resources Gospel Partners translates would display the supremacy and beauty of Jesus in such a way that many would be drawn to him in repentance and faith.
