The Slice

God created us with emotions, but knowing how to name and navigate our feelings can be difficult. We all feel sadness when faced with unmet expectations, broken friendships, and painful trials. But does that also mean we’re discontent? In her recent article, Brittany Allen helps us discern the difference between sorrowful lament and sinful discontent.

The warning signs are there—we start making demands, accusing God, or blatantly disobeying him. Yet even in our longings, God remains good. And every emotion becomes an invitation to turn to Jesus, who shows us how to feel rightly and walk faithfully.

P.S. TGCW26 is just five weeks away! We’ll study the Psalms and learn how to bring all of life—including our emotions—to God. We’d love for you to join us in Indianapolis in June!
