Death is a topic most of us like to avoid. As former Deep Dish guest Colleen Chao points out, our culture skips over the reality of death because we’re scared of it.

The Slice is a little different this week because we wanted to share (with Colleen’s permission and blessing!) her latest health update. Colleen recently received some hard news, but, as she has done throughout her cancer journey, she radiates the peace and joy that are hers in Christ.

Be encouraged as you listen to Colleen’s words. She reminds us that God has “taken the force out of death and made it a servant.” Death is hard. But for the believer, it’s also hopeful because it’s part of the pathway to eternal joy. And the hope that anchors Colleen can, in Christ, be yours, too.
