| This month we announced the theme, speaker lineup, and breakout sessions for TGC’s 2025 National Conference. If you haven’t yet had a chance to peruse the just-launched conference website, check it out at tgc.org/tgc25. I hope you’ll join us in Indianapolis this April 22 to 25. Conferences matter. In an increasingly disembodied, disconnected, and discouraging digital age, Christians need more occasions to come together in embodied, unifying, galvanizing gatherings like this. Today’s cultural environment breeds division and leads to despair. But the gospel unifies and leads us to hope. That’s what our focus will be at TGC25: How the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only thing that offers true life in a world of death; the only thing that can forge a unified family in a world of warring tribes. And we are family. Christ’s blood is stronger to unite us than the algorithms are to divide us. Believing this in theory is one thing; taking intentional steps to live this is another. In my experience, few things have reinforced the supernatural reality of God’s Spirit-bound people (Eph. 4:3-6) than singing hymns like “In Christ Alone,” in a cavernous convention hall, alongside thousands of voices from many tribes, tongues, and nations. For good reason, the devil shudders at scenes like this. While the nations rage and tribes plot their latest grab for short-lived power, inside the Indiana Convention Center in April we’ll be a throng of united souls, confessing together the infinite power, glory, and Kingship of Christ. At TGC25 in our all-together worship moments, we’ll be practicing what we’ll be doing for all eternity. And we need practice. In a divided world, we need events that leave us longing for the unending fellowship we’ll have in heaven. Don’t miss this chance. |
