In the past year, more people have learned the joys of working remotely. It’s easier to cook dinner when you’re not tired out from a commute. There’s more flexibility to visit family out of town without having to take time off. And you can save a lot of money when you don’t have to buy work clothes!

In spite of these benefits, you probably haven’t grown closer to your colleagues in the past year if you’ve been working from home. You may have even stopped thinking about how to share the love of Christ with your coworkers now that you don’t see them all day long.

In “5 Ways to Love Colleagues Remotely,” Whitney Pipkin shares practical tips for how to love your work neighbors, even when they are remote. She also points out that pandemic work conditions have made it possible for people to see more of their literal neighbors, now that they spend so much time at home. It’s good to be reminded that, even as the circumstances of our lives change, God will never stop giving us opportunities to love our neighbors as ourselves.
